I could go on and on about why I love being a Virtual Assistant. I had to limit myself with just 8 or I’d be sitting here writing this post for days and I’d rather be on the beach.
Here are 8 reasons why I love being a Virtual Assistant
I can wear my shirt inside out and it doesn’t matter.
I actually realized the other day that I was wearing my shirt on inside out for the entire day. It didn’t matter because I work from home so no one knew. I’ve worn my clothes inside out and backwards a few times recently and that’s actually what inspired me to write this post. I love that I can be comfortable in my home office and wear whatever I want; yoga pants, no pants, it doesn’t matter.

I set my own schedule.
I work when I want and as much as a want. If I don’t feel like working Wednesday I can take the day off. If I want to do my grocery shopping first thing in the morning, I can. I am my own boss and have the freedom to do what I want. I do let my clients know if I’m going to be taking some days off, but otherwise, they never know if I come into my office late one day or take the afternoon off.
No commute.
When I worked in corporate I could spend anywhere from 1 to 3 hours each day commuting to and from work. I hated it, I had to leave extra early just in case there happened to be an excess of traffic or an accident. My day ended at 5 and sometimes I didn’t get home until 7. Now all I have to do is walk across the hall as my office is across from my bedroom. Although I usually make a trip downstairs first for a cup of my favorite tea.
I can work from anywhere.
As long as I have an internet connection and my Macbook Pro I can work. I travel quite a bit and am able to work from anywhere. Recently I was able to tag along on an Air Force trip to Hawaii for a 8 days and took my business with me. I worked while I was there and my clients had no idea that I was even in Hawaii.
Nothing is set in stone.
My Virtual Assistant business allows me the freedom to basically do whatever I want. I’m the kind of person that loves change and with my business, I can constantly evolve and change. For example, when I first started I offered a ton of different services. Today I’ve narrowed it down to only a few. Maybe next year I’ll change that again.

I love that there’s always something new to learn in the tech industry. I really do learn something new everyday and I never get bored with my business.
The people.
I’ve meet so many fabulous people both virtually and in person. As a business owner, it’s important to get yourself out there, network and build relationships. If I didn’t have my Virtual Assistant business I probably wouldn’t have met so many talented and wonderful like-minded business owners.
It’s rewarding.
I work and have worked with several fabulous entrepreneurs and business owners from all walks of life. I help them accomplish their goals and grow their businesses. It’s very rewarding helping others achieve their dreams.
